What We Do
- Provide advocacy and support to our members and their families.
- Encourage each person to be as self-sufficient as possible.
- Promote democracy to our members
- Offer education and information on blindness and relevant accessibility issues to interested community members and organizations.
- Work with state and national legislators to encourage promotion of relevant bills and laws that will further enable blind and visually impaired people to be productive, functioning individuals.
We are a nonprofit organization, Our fund-raising helps to purchase adaptive equipment for blind and visually impaired people in need, sponsor members to attend the state and national conventions, legislative seminars and other ACB related conventions, fund a scholarship program for a blind student each year, sponsor various trips for our members and assist the community in education and adaptive equipment needs as we are able.
